What you’ll
be doing...
Exciting opportunities
exist within the walls of BarrierFree's Global Presales Engineering
organization. As an Associate Solutions Architect, you
will be an integral part of a talented team collaborating with our Senior Solutions
Architects and various members of the account team assisting them on their
clients Digital Transformation journey. Other responsibilities include: learn
engineering processes, develop professional engineering skills, optimize
existing processes, deliver strong business and technical presentations, and
work with the appropriate teams when issues or escalations arise to resolve
them in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
·
Work with Account Teams
and Field Solution Architects when engaged-on-team requests.
·
Support the development
of WAN, security, voice / UC&C, CCS, and IoT solutions.
·
Provide engineering
support on RFI, RFP, and other customer engagements.
·
Interact with the customer
as needed to provide support.
·
Complete site access
reports and provide access pricing for customer locations.
·
Develop or update
network diagram drawings based on customer changes or new builds.
·
Create BarrierFree
internal LEC special construction quotes and perform pricing analysis.
·
Research and develop
bandwidth utilization reports and provide the associated circuit information.
·
Support projects that
are technology or customer specialized by working with the SA and account teams
to understand the project needs, complete research or engineering tasks, and
develop the required deliverables or reports.
·
Acquire and grow
knowledge in BarrierFree's technology offerings by completing trainings,
attending corporate partner and vendor presentations, acquiring certifications,
and assisting with specialized project requests.

Network internally to
grow community of resources.
What we’re looking
for...
You'll need to have:
·
Bachelor’s degree or one
or more years of work experience.
Even better if you have:
·
Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science/Engineering, or another related technical field.
·
Knowledge of Networking
Technologies including SDN, NFV, Intelligent edge.
·
Knowledge with WAN
technologies: MPLS, (carrier) Ethernet, TDM.
· Knowledge of the telecom
market (i.e. Carriers, VAR’s and System Integrators)
·
Technical aptitude and
forward thinking.
·
Willing and able to
learn new technologies.
·
Ability to work with
aggressive timelines and prioritize deliverables accordingly.
·
Analytical,
interpersonal, and communication skills to work on a team and communicate
effectively across different teams
·
Ability to work
independently with moderate to minimal supervision.
·
Ability to multitask and
work on different projects/issues as needed.
· Ability to troubleshoot
and problem solve to find solutions to problems where no
previous examples or methods may exist.
·
Knowledge with
programming language/scripting logic
·
Computer skills in MS
Office (especially Excel and Visio)
·
Related internship/work
experience.
·
Industry certifications
(COMPTIA Network+, CCNA, etc.)
